Activity Center Program / Drop In
The Activity Center program is dedicated to helping men and women who are
seriously and chronically mentally disabled maintain, and facilitate his/her
adjustment and acceptance within the community. Each service recipient is
unique and the program's pace is designed for each individual's capacity
to participate on a positive basis.
Goals:
-
To develop the necessary skills and supports to function successfully in
his or her particular community

To enhance self-esteem
-
To sustain control of the symptoms of mental illness and to achieve acceptance
and understanding of the illness
-
To strive toward economic self-sufficiency, independence in daily living,
and community integration
-
Achieve an improved and satisfying quality of life
Eligibility:
-
Any adult 18 years of age or older who suffers from a diagnosed severe and
persistent mental disorder(s) which may interfere with ability to function
in daily life and is not a danger to themselves or others is eligible for
services.
